This painting was started in September, it dried and I kept repainting it and repainting the whole thing about 3 times. Sometimes that's just what it takes to get something you like.

I painted this one in September, at Rasmussen Farm, after the Plein Air Show in September, with Mike Kowalski. Mike and I went out to the farm, and both painted the same view of the oak tree, it was still hot here in September. Mike is a watercolorist who also paints beautiful oil paintings.

This one is a little different for me. I did a painting of a house with the power lines going across the canvas, and I liked the effect on the composition of the painting. So I wanted to try one with just the power lines and the pole.

Nice time of year for a drive...
The challenge of flowers, I hope some other painters try to paint some lillies. The challenge is to paint the intense color and still have it look like some light is falling on it.

These small azaleas are from a dwarf azalea bush in our yard. The flowers love this weather.

I had a studio sale last weekend, here's how I displayed my "Daily Paintings" all 6in x 6in framed in a black frame. The cost for the framed paintings is $145.00 each. The Studio Sale was part of a larger studio sale, the Gorge Artists Open Studios Tour. It was very fun and successful for those of us living in the Columbia Gorge.
