#1174 Desert Clouds

6"x6" | oil on archival panel
I'm always practicing clouds. They look so simple, but doing them well is a challenge. These are clouds in perspective.

#1152 Asymmetrical Oak Tree

6"x6" | oil on archival panel

I love asymmetrical oak trees. The ones that don't look like lollypops... And pink skies.
This is inspired by our recent painting sessions at the Cathedral Ridge Winery. I took some reference photos of the oak tree and the blue hills behind it.
