#1054 Douglas Fir Tree

Same tree, different day! At Tsuruta Park, sister city to Hood River OR. I think it's good to go to the same places to paint. It allows you to time to process what you have painted, and consider different ways of painting the same subject. This was a plein air painting, a demo for the class.

I love the native vegetation of the high desert and in this painting, the little slip of light blue sky at the top of the desert hills.

PNW Plein Air 2017 at Maryhill Museum of Art - Award Winner!

The Pacific Northwest Plein Air 2017 Competition and Event was last week 42 Artists participated. The show is on display through August 27. I hope you can make it to see the show! I have 4 paintings in this show. Here are 2 of the paintings I submitted.
