Corner of 3rd and Oak Street

8"x8" | oil on archival panel
I painted this 8" x8" Plein Air last year for the Pacific Northwest Plein Air Event, I was cleaning out my studio and found it! I had never put it online. So here it is!

The corner business is a lingerie store that has been very popular with Plein Air painters, challenged to paint the headless manequin in the window... luckily she was very decently dressed when I painted her. The thing I liked about this view, is the perspective of the buildings going down the street, and the shadow leading into the painting, and the white stripe in the road starting in the shadow and ending in the sun. I also liked the little yellow fire hydrant on the right too.

Pinterest Tip - you can hover over the painting and a "pin" button automatically pops up, so you can easily pin any painting to a pinterest board.
