Transformer - sold

This one is a little different for me. I did a painting of a house with the power lines going across the canvas, and I liked the effect on the composition of the painting. So I wanted to try one with just the power lines and the pole.
Someone put a comment on my blog asking me what brushes I use. I mostly use flat synthetic brushes, that have a little longer bristles. I have been ordering them from Utrecht, 230 1/2" with a blue handle, and 6150-f 1.2" green handle.
This painting is going to be in the show, 30 Days of Art, at the Columbia Center for the Arts from July 3 - 31.

Ok, so I have too been tagged by 2 artists, I didn't mean to be slow about it. It just seems that there are a BILLION things to be done in one day/week. Like paint... : )

1. I love my ipod. I mostly listen to music, but also books.
2. My studio is very SMALL. People walk into it and say, wow this just proves you don't have to have a large studio to paint.
3. I am intrigued by marketing my artwork. I can't say that I know what I'm doing, but it is interesting.
4. I love my car too. It's a subaru outback, good for plein air painting and hauling paintings around. I hope subaru will make an outback hybrid or something like that in the future.
5. I have a dog.
6. I do yoga.

Trees in the Columbia Gorge - sold

Rowena has some high cliffs that go about 1000 feet up. The vegetation is at the level of the Columbia River, and is a mixture of desert and forest.

Hood River Valley - SOLD

I was painting from Sakura Ridge Farm and Lodge, it's beautiful up there (sort of an understatement). I am participating in the Pacific Northwest Plein Air 2008, in Hood River.
