My Mother's Silver

5"w x 7" h | oil on archival panel

br> I was very curious to try painting silverware, something that is almost colorless... almost a tonal study, this is one of my experiments, to see how it works out. I want to paint more... I always liked the John Singer Sargent paintings of a table setting with silver...

This was my mother's silverware... young women were "picking their silver patterns" in the 50s, these were her choice... a time of hopes and dreams maybe...

Click this link to view "My Mother's Silver" oil painting on Daily Paintworks Website, and to see all of my available paintings.

Pinterest Tip - you can hover over the painting and a "pin" button automatically pops up, so you can easily pin any painting to a pinterest board.
