Oak Tree in The Columbia Gorge

8"w x 10" h | oil on archival panel

I have been doing a lot of hiking in the Columbia Gorge this Spring, I am fascinated by the color of the mountains as it pokes between the tree branches...
Because of the shapes of the tree and mountains, I felt like this series of paintings needed to be 8" x 10" instead of my usual 6"x6".
Available for purchase on Daily Paintworks website:

I love the beautiful realistic tree you've painted here, Cathleen. Like Celeste does, you have me missing my beloved PNW. I should never have moved away!

Wonderful color in this and the others in this series Cathleen. A grand time of year for plein air...
