Mt Hood, very large and very small...

Mt Hood :: 6in x6in :: oil on panel
I have been working in extreme sizes of paintings lately and loving it! This 6in x6in painting is a commission, for a friend.

Mt Hood :: 4ft x 4ft :: oil on panel
This large 4ft x 4ft painting is a finished commissioned painting for the new Kaiser Medical Building in Portland, OR. Going from large to small and back and forth is really a blast! : )

These paintings are both so wonderful, Cathleen. My hat is off to you for being able to switch sizes like that. Personally, I think that is a challenge!

I get used to doing the little 'uns, using very little paint and small brushes, and not a whole lot of time. Then when I have a big 'un to paint, it feels like it's taking forever, and I have to get out lots more paint, and mix up what seems like huge vast quantities of it, and push it around with monstrous brushes.
