I really like how you leave part of the black showing in the background with the texture of the canvas showing through. Beautiful.

Beautifully done. The glass bottle and it's shadow and light are perfect. Nice background, too. Love it!

Isn't it funny how commissions fill us with self doubt? This is a lovely pair, but if it doesn't "ring their bell" there will be buyers that love it. Gotta paint what we love, regardless.

Hi Cathleen, Just found your site through Gretchen Hancocks site. Beautiful stuff. Just a quick comment though- I do like the way the underpaintings come through, especially in the oil bottle, but the flat treatment of the background is so cliche, and your signature looks like your paintings belong in hotels and hallways. Class it up girl! You are very talented, but those things are holding you back....

Cathleen, this is fresh and beautifully handled. Gorgeous brushwork. And I wouldn't give a second thought to people who have no problem critiquing others work when they don't even have the nerve to leave their name. Anonymous - why don't *you* class it up?

Really like both of these "bathroom" pieces. hmmm...
Beautiful handling of both objects. Love the reflections and shadows. I love your background. I think someone has PMS.
