Colorful Chairs - sold

This painting is in the Plein Air 2010 show at the Columbia Center for the Arts. It sold the first night at the opening of the show, with lots of interest in more commissioned paintings of the "famous chairs" at Rasmussen Farm, in Hood River OR. Rasmussen Farm is up for sale, so "the chairs" may be no more! Lots of artists and photographers stop and make their interpretation of the chairs. I will be doing more chair paintings, in different sizes.

Rasmussen's Oak

I painted this one in September, at Rasmussen Farm, after the Plein Air Show in September, with Mike Kowalski. Mike and I went out to the farm, and both painted the same view of the oak tree, it was still hot here in September. Mike is a watercolorist who also paints beautiful oil paintings.
I have painted this oak tree many times, and it's always interesting to paint again. It is a little larger than my daily paintings.
