Approaching Storm

6"x6" | oil on archival panel

I painted this from a trip to Smith Rock. The weather was changing every 10 minutes, the sun was shining and the fast storms were passing through.
This small painting is a study for a large painting for the show "Rain" at Columbia Center for the Arts in October.

Click this link to view "Approaching Storm" oil painting on Daily Paintworks Website, and to see all of my available paintings.

Pinterest Tip - you can hover over the painting and a "pin" button automatically pops up, so you can easily pin any painting to a pinterest board.

Don't you love how the sunlit trees and hills pop out in front of the dark clouds? Nice.

Love how you captured the power and majesty of the rocky mountains. They really speak.
