Apples and Neutral Colors

6" x 6" :: oil on archival panel
This painting is about making bold colors work with neutral colors. Just another part of my visual diary.   Neutrals and colors is what I'm going to be working on for the next few still life paintings. Tell me what you think!

Note to all - Feedburner/Google has been sending out a weird version of my blog posts, randomly. I am trying to get it to stop, I don't know what is causing it, but I'm trying to get it fixed. It may take a while, so please, just delete the weird extra email it sends out, until I can get this fixed. I may have to change email services to something like Mad Mimi or something else… Mad Mimi has good customer service, so at least I would be able to get email problems fixed, plus they have some nice templates. Thank you for your patience!

I love the neutrals Cathleen! I use a very limited palette of cad red or cad red Lt, cad lemon, ultramarine blue and white for most paintings and I find I can get some lovely neutrals!!

Hi Cathleen.
I don`t Bother about Technicalities Cathleen, I just go by Tones, warm and cool Colours, and of cours, composition. But this painting has it all, and it is gorgeous. All the best Cathleen.
