This is part of my series of exploration of complementary colors - today the orange and blue/purple colors, and yellow/purplish. The previous painting of the Red Cup was an exploration of a warm red and teal/turquoise. This exploration of complements is in reference to the Munsell Color Wheel.

Your loose style always impresses me and in this one I love the bright color of the cup and the way you handled the shadows. Very nice.
