A Painterly View • Original Oil Paintings on Archival Panel
Love the shininess but also the slightly cropped composition and the color casting on the ground because the surfaces are so reflective.
This is so appealing, it grabbed my focus on Daily Painters. Very nice work.
a stunner, you captured that christmas glow!!
Oh these are perfect! I have some of these I just stuck on my tree - may have to go get them off and paint them tomorrow! Just beautiful and as usual, you nailed the colors and reflections!
This is just beautiful! I tried before I saw your post and couldn't get the reflections. You are inspiring me to keep trying. Thanks.
The metallic colors you captured in these ornaments are amazing here!! you have amazing color sense!!
I saved your shiny ornaments on my pinterest some time ago but today I'm going to break out my paints and give it a whirl. Thank you for the inspiration. It looks to me like you have a black background or gesso. I am not very experienced with dark gesso so this should be interesting! Merry Christmas to you and yours. Trish
Hi Trish, I have a little tutorial on painting on black gesso here:http://www.dailypaintworks.com/ArtByteGalleryStore/cathleen-rehfeld-206/ click on Tutorials ButtonBest, Cathleen
This painting is amazing. I hope it was alright to do a study. I gave you credit for doing all the work! I love your style and would love to paint as 'free' as this. Blessings!
