Chicken Culture - sold

So many people I know - now have chickens! So many varieties, I had no idea. This cute guy is a more familiar variety. It's a chicken culture here. And then, it's all about the chicken coop. The portable coop, the coop with laying area, nesting, sleeping... fascinating!

I love it. Seeing other painters' chickens & roosters always makes me want to paint a chicken or rooster. why is that? In any case, he's a beauty!

I love the loose painterly feel of this guy; seeing him reminded me of a blown glass figurine I had of a rooster as a child that I had completely forgotten. The way the colors flowed together in the glass of the figurine have the same sort of feel as your painting. Really beautiful, soft brushwork.
