I was very inspired by seeing Carol Marine's bowl and pepper paintings. I never thought of painting a bowl from above, so I HAD to try it. I don't know if it worked out for me, but it's interesting. I'm not sure if they look like "bowls from above".
How is this painting different from yesterday's painting? The lighting is natural. I painted it with natural light coming in the window, shining on the plums and creating the shadows naturally. The photo is ok, but I think the colors are more subtle than the photo can capture.This painting is available for purchase.
