Small Oaks - SOLD

I have been experimenting with different brushes and colors for trees and sky. Today I used Napthol Red instead of Cadmium Red in this painting. I have heard that the Napthol Red doesn't gray down like the Cadmium Red. So that's what I used today. I think I like it. It makes a very nice muted purple too. The Langnickel Royal Sable brushes really do seem to do a better job on the trees and sky for me.

Beautiful! I especially like the pink-yellowish touch in the foreground.

The colors are gorgeous and work beautifully together! The tree with its lively brushwork and great coloring is stunning!
