This one was very challenging because I haven't been painting snow very often. The shadows in snow are very subtle, yet very different from the snow in the sunlight. It has to be not too dark and not too light, just right!

I painted this one today from a photo of a higher part of the Hood River, that I took this last Summer during the Plein Air painting event. Memories of summer in the mountains... glacial runoff is so beautiful.

Port, Pom, Persimmon

I love the way this one came together. If you are a Port lover, the port bottle in this painting, has a handstamped label! And I feel like I captured it, on this painting. It's a lovely bottle (in real life) so green, and the hand stamping is so interesting.

This painting is different from my others because it was painted on Wallis Sanded Archival Paper. The paper is nice, it really grabs the paint differently than a board. If you purchase it, I can attach it with archival glue to a birch board.
