Stand of Oaks and Yellow Starthistle - sold

Plein Air painting in Washington today, just across the river from Mosier, Oregon. It's very dry with dark basalt cliffs along the gorge. There are stands of oaks begging to be painted, with the yellow starthisle everywhere. And snakes too! I did wear my cowboy boots!

In Love With Turquoise - sold

I am just in love with this turquoise color. The red cherries really set it off. The cherries are in season here in Oregon, lots and lots of cherries everywhere.

The Chicken Commission

This guy is a "chicken commission", he's a pet chicken with an interesting history. Too long to go into, but he's special. Portrait of a chicken.
